1965 & 1976 · The Manufacturing Roots
The journey began in 1965, when Mr. Irshad Ahmad, the first generation of our family, established a glass manufacturing business. As India’s infrastructure and housing sectors expanded, he recognized the immense potential of the timber and wood panel industry. This vision led our family into plywood manufacturing in 1976, laying the foundation for a legacy in wood-based solutions.
1989 · Gaining Hands-on Expertise
In 1989, at just 19 years of age, Mr. Saqib Irshad joined the family business and immersed himself in every aspect of the industry. From factory operations and production to product knowledge, sales, and customer relationships, he gained hands-on experience that shaped his understanding of the business from the ground up.
2003 · Founding Plywood Centre
Following the restructuring of the family business, he founded Plywood Centre in 2003 with a clear vision—to create a trusted destination where customers could find premium products, expert guidance, and dependable service under one roof. Built on decades of manufacturing knowledge and market experience, Plywood Centre quickly earned a reputation for quality, authenticity, and long-term customer trust.
